About me
Hola, I'm so glad you're here!

Imagine that it's early in the morning and you are a college student about to enter a 2-hour cognitive psychology class. The topic of the day is how brains store memories and information and all of a sudden your professor plays a video of a psychiatrist talking about how UX Designers use psychology to help shape our experiences in the world. You raise your hand and ask, "What is UX Design?" and well I guess the rest is history...
Hi:) I’m Omairy Rodriguez and that's how I was introduced to the innovative world of UX Design. I am originally from the Dominican Republic and came to the US with my family when I was just 8 years old. My mother is a hairstylist and with her encouragement and determination, my siblings and myself were able to attend college. With deep love and passion for understanding humans and society, I majored in Psychology, with minors in Sociology and Spanish and graduated with my bachelor's in 2022 from Manhattan College.
Learning about UX Design really changed my life and inspired me to use my knowledge to improve and engage with systems in which we use and depend on everyday. I am passionate about using creativity and my love for psychology and sociology allows me to empathize with users to solve problems by creating useful user interactions. I offer a lot of experience in understanding the human condition and how users communicate with interfaces and as a Spanish speaker, I can also reach a larger audience. My UX design education has allowed me to equip myself with the relevant design skills and modern software knowledge needed to succeed in this field. I have a passion for user research, prototyping, and making sure that work processes run smoothly. In a UX team, I look forward to applying the same principles to designing user flows and working with brands that make a positive impact on people’s lives.
